Thuja occidentalis or Arborvitae meaning the tree of life is an evergreen plant in Coniferae family. It is native to Europe, Canada, America but for medicinal and ornamental purposes it is cultivated across the globe including India. The fresh plant mainly leaves and twigs contain essential volatile oil of which majorly constitute thujone. Thujone has antimicrobial and antiviral action. In herbal medicine, it is also used as an insect repellent, to cause premature births, etc. It is also used in cosmetics industry as a scent in beautifying agents and soaps. A few people use Thuja herbal tincture internally to relax mucus (as an expectorant). It is used further to enhance the bodily immunity (as an immunostimulant), and as a diuretic.

Most people have warts at sometime in their life. Warts are small, usually painless growths on the skin. According to modern literature, warts result from infection with the DNA human papillomavirus (HPV).1 They are generally harmless.
