BC 9 -Dysentery

• Dysentery is bloody diarrhea, i.e. any diarrhoeal episode in which the loose or watery stools contain visible red blood.
• Dysentery results from viral infections, bacterial infections, or parasitic infestations.
• These pathogens typically reach the large intestine after entering orally, through ingestion of contaminated food or water, oral contact with contaminated objects or hands, and so on.
• More often, individuals will complain of nausea, abdominal pain, and frequent watery and usually foul-smelling diarrhea accompanied by mucus and blood, rectal pain and fever.
• Vomiting, rapid weight loss and generalized muscle aches sometimes also accompany dysentery.

INDICATIONS:

• First stage of dysentery with mucus and blood and dysentery with slimy stools.
• Also indicated when stools have appearance of rice water. 
• Bakson Biochemic Combination 9 also cover inflammatory and catarrhal conditions of intestine with constant urge to empty bowels.

DOSAGE:

• Adults : 4 tablets every three hours or four times a day.
• Children : 1 to 2 tablets 4 times a day.
