About Panchasava
Panchasav is an Ayurvedic medicine used in the treatment and prevention of digestive disorders.As the name itself suggest (Panch=panch/five + Asava) this medicine is combination of 5 Classical Ayurvedic Asava.It is also used for treating nervous system disorders like neuralgia. It is prepared from a combination of five traditional Ayurvedic medications that possess strong medicinal properties. The herbs used in this medication help in treating these conditions by tackling the root cause of the illness and thus, provide a long lasting relief.
Panchasav contains about 5 to 10 % of self-generated alcohol, which along with the water present in the medicine, acts as a media and delivers alcohol and water soluble active herbal compounds to the body. This product contains more than 60 herbal ingredients. Since it is a combination of five Ayurvedic formulations, it is difficult to judge the effect of each herb over the other.
Ingredients of Panchasava
Drakshasava
Drakshasava is Ayurvedic medicine for physical weakness, fatigue, digestive weakness, hyperacidity, indigestion, anorexia and other gastric disorder. It improves appetite, digestion and relaxes nerves. It is fermented preparation made from grapes or raisins.
Balarishta
Balarishta is given to treat digestive weakness, loss of strength, burning sensation and rheumatic disorder. It has anti-inflammatory properties.
Lohasava
Lohasava is indicated in chronic anemia and weakness due to liver disorders.
Kumari asava
Kumari asava is indicated in treatment of liver disorders, dyspnea, constipation, general debility, cough, asthma, consumption, piles, epilepsy and pain. It is a tonic. It reduces inflammation and pitta. The chief ingredient in this medicine is Aloe-vera.
Dashmoolarishta
Dashmoolarishta is a tonic and It cures digestive weakness and gives strength and vigor.

Piles
Panchasav is a highly effective medication for the treatment of piles. The combination of medications used in this preparation helps in treating digestive disturbances that cause piles or worsen them such as indigestion and chronic constipation. This medicine reduces the symptoms of piles like bleeding while passing stools, the sensation of a mass protruding through the anus, and pain during defecation. It works by improving the motility of the intestine, which results in efficient bowel movements and eases in passing stools. It reduces constipation, which is the most common factor contributing to the development of piles.
Anemia
Panchasav has been found to correct the nutritional deficiencies caused by the lack of nutrients, especially iron, in the diet. It is beneficial in the management of anemia. Some people have reported having developed mild pain in the stomach and acne on the face during the first few days of using this supplement. However, these symptoms are mild and tend to resolve spontaneously within a few days.
